The Who:
A highly successful, boutique digital agency that has been crafting meaningful technology solutions since 2010.
With a stable and tight-knit team of 15 professionals in Wellington, their employee retention is exceptionally rare—more than half the team has been there for over a decade.
They boast a collaborative, curious, and slightly "nerdy" culture where continuous growth is celebrated. Every week, the team runs internal learning sessions to share cool new tools, ideas, and tech breakthroughs.
Currently thriving in the public sector, they are now looking for an ambitious commercial "hunter" to help accelerate their expansion into the private sector.
As the Business Development Manager, you will own the end-to-end sales lifecycle for SME and mid-tier private-sector clients. They're needing a proactive pipeline builder who loves uncovering new opportunities, guiding consultative discovery meetings, and closing deals.
You will have total ownership of your pipeline, taking prospects from initial outreach right through to crafting and presenting high-quality proposals.
Once you secure and nurture an account for its first year, you will seamlessly hand it over to the delivery team so you can focus on your next big win.
The What:
They like to keep things moving swiftly and transparently:
Apply now and we'll come back to you within 24 hours.
Not a 100% match? Apply anyway. We value potential and perspective over a perfect checklist.

The What:
- Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B business development experience, ideally within professional services, tech, software delivery, or digital consulting.
- The "Hunter" Mindset: A resilient, proactive drive to prospect, network, and convert leads into long-term commercial relationships.
- Consultative Approach: Exceptional listening skills with the ability to navigate complex, value-led conversations with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.

- A Plus: General familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery environments is highly advantageous.
- Lucrative, Uncapped Earnings: A strong base salary paired with an uncapped commission structure paid quarterly on invoicing. A realistic performer can expect to add an extra $40k–$50k annually.

- Third Stage: A final alignment coffee with the executive leadership.
