This large-scale initiative spans regulatory operations, service design, core system implementations, and emerging ways of working.

We are seeking an adaptable Change Manager who excels in complex, fast-paced environments. This position suits a practical, proactive self-starter who can seamlessly bridge the gap between strategic change planning and hands-on operational delivery—acting as a trusted advisor to leaders while ensuring impacted teams are ready for, adopt, and sustain new ways of working.

Key Capabilities & Core Requirements:
  • End-to-End Change Leadership: Significant experience leading, designing, and executing comprehensive change management strategies and adoption plans across large-scale, multi-project transformation programs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence executives, senior leaders, project teams, and external sector stakeholders.
  • Impact & Readiness Assessment: Strong track record in conducting detailed change impact assessments across operational units, identifying risks, barriers to adoption, and mitigation strategies.
  • Methodology & Tooling Expertise: Deep understanding and practical application of recognised change management methodologies, standards, and tools to build change capability and measure benefits realisation.
  • Delivery & Operational Embedding: Hands-on experience partnering with project managers to integrate change schedules into overall delivery plans, ensuring seamless coaching, training, and long-term embedding.
  • Sector & Regulatory Navigation: Experience supporting organisational readiness and adoption within complex, highly regulated environments or public sector transformation initiatives.
Role Details & Work Environment:
  • Contract: 1-Year Fixed-Term  $136,939 – $168,191
  • Location: Prime Central Wellington location right next to the train station (National Office).
  • Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid model with 2 days working from home per week.
