We're looking for Backend Developer who is not only a sharp problem solver but also a natural collaborator and peer mentor ready to help scale their engineering excellence.

The Role at a Glance

As a core member of the Development team, you will bridge the gap between technical complexity and real-world impact. You’ll spend your time developing robust web applications, diving into cloud architecture, and pair-programming to help level up the wider team.

This role reports directly to the Engineering Lead, offers zero direct administrative reports, and gives you a genuine voice in shaping technical roadmaps.

What You'll Bring to the Table To thrive in this environment, you should bring a strong blend of backend expertise and an Agile mindset. Ideally, your toolkit includes:
  • Core Languages: Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Python.
  • Cloud Architecture: Solid hands-on experience with AWS (specifically Elastic Beanstalk and ECS)
  • Testing & CI/CD: Experience with modern testing frameworks (Cypress, Jasmine, Karma) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
  • Leadership Style: A passion for peer mentoring, constructive PR reviews, and a practical, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Best Practices: A solid understanding of data modelling, state management, and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
The Tech Stack You will be working within a modern, evolving ecosystem:
  • Backend: Java, Python, Linux, Windows
  • Cloud: Active AWS environment moving toward containerized architectures (ECS)
  • CI/CD: Moving from Jenkins to GitHub Actions
