Technology & Solution Support Manager- Wellington
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a premier, New Zealand family-owned technology business. Renowned for their "FieldSmart" technology, they bridge the gap between heavy infrastructure and cutting-edge SaaS, IoT, and data management solutions.
They are wanting a delivery-focused Technology & Solution Support Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team in Wellington. This is a high-impact role designed for a leader who possesses a sharp "operational head" and the ability to drive complex technical delivery in a wellbeing-focused, family-oriented environment.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Board/Managing Director, you will take full accountability for the technical support and solution delivery functions. You will lead a total workforce of 36 staff, managing 6 direct reports to ensure high-standard service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Compliance & Governance: Lead the organisation’s information security compliance program, maintaining rigorous alignment with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI frameworks.
  • Operational Delivery: Manage day-to-day technical operations, resolving complex issues for both internal and external customers with minimal disruption.
  • Infrastructure Roadmap: Help define IT infrastructure strategy and architecture, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and optimised.
  • Solution Evolution: Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to improve solution design and lifecycle management based on customer feedback.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a blend of technical governance and people leadership. You likely have a background that spans both private and public sector environments, giving you the versatility to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
Your Profile:
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in IT operations management or leadership positions, with a proven track record.
  • Compliance Expertise: Demonstrated experience implementing and managing an ISMS in alignment with ISO 27001 or similar frameworks.
  • Operational Mindset: A "master of relationship building" who can drive results through team collaboration and take full ownership of outcomes.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to discuss IoT systems, metering technology, and data acquisition products at a high technical level.
  • Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
