About your role:

We're seeking a talented and experienced Product Owner to lead the growth and optimization of our back-end calculations and technical infrastructure. As part of our team, you'll be responsible for supporting our exponential growth and bringing new features to the market.

About you:

• We're looking for someone who's excited about being part of a high-growth team and is self-motivated and driven to achieve.

• You'll need at least 2+ years' experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, and experience in product ownership of consumer-facing online services in Australia and/or New Zealand.

• You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be well-organized, and able to juggle multiple activities at once. A solid mathematical background and the ability to understand complex statistical models and calculations are also important.

• We're a collaborative team, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. You should be able to bring your own ideas to the table, be driven and motivated to hit goals, and have the skills to make those ideas a reality.

• Most importantly, we're looking for someone who's friendly, approachable, and excited to work with us as part of our team.

You would be responsible for:

• The Product Owner position requires a deep understanding of tax calculations, government integration, and platform infrastructure, as you'll be responsible for managing the product backlog for two delivery squads. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, you'll make prioritization decisions that balance the need to implement new features with the need to maintain existing ones.

• You'll be responsible for analyzing platform data to drive decision-making, set goals, and optimize the platform. Working in agile, cross-functional teams, you'll release new changes incrementally to beta test with customers, validating any modifications made to the service. Regularly engaging with customers to understand their experiences and priorities, you'll feed that insight back into the delivery squads and the wider business.

• You'll work closely with Product Designers and Leadership to deliver great experiences, both online and offline. This is a dynamic role where you'll have the opportunity to set the strategic direction for your areas of the platform, taking into account customer feedback, market trends, and technological potential. As a Product Owner, you'll be able to continually push the core foundation of the service and deliver optimal accuracy and performance.
