The Role:

As part of a high-performing finance team, you’ll work closely with the Chief Financial officer. With your proven experience as a financial accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of day-to-day operations. This is an office-based role, allowing you to collaborate closely with your team Monday-Friday in the Wellington Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reconciliation & Reporting: Prepare bank reconciliations, monitor trial balances, and assist with month-end management accounts. 

  • Accounts Payable & Tax Handling: Enter invoices, ensure timely payments, process IRD tax refunds, and prepare GST and FBT returns.

  • Customer & Tax Support: Resolve customer tax queries and liaise with Inland Revenue.

  • Payroll Banking & Team Support: Provide backup for daily payroll banking and support other Finance team members as needed.

What are we looking for? 

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA or CAANZ) and Tertiary accounting qualification.

  • 4 years of experience including banking and tax filing

  • Strong skills in management and financial reporting 

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and accounting systems 

  • Confident communicator and analytical problem-solver

  • Organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, an eye for detail

  • A team player
