About the role:

As an Engineering/Development Manager, you'll be a key player in our growth journey, leading a talented team of engineers to create solutions that wow their customers. Your role is all about supporting your team, helping them grow, and working together across the company to make our customers happy.

This is an office-based role, allowing you to collaborate closely with your team in the Wellington office.

Your Responsibilities:

Supporting and Guiding ~You'll be there to help your team succeed, giving advice and direction to help them develop in their careers.

Building the Team ~You'll be part of choosing new team members and making sure you bring in people who will add to our team's success.

Leading and Coaching ~You'll inspire your team to do great work, coaching them to reach their goals and do their best.

Creating a Great Atmosphere ~You'll make sure their team feels supported and encouraged, so they can do their best work in a friendly environment.

Handling Tricky Situations with Care ~Sometimes, you'll need to have difficult conversations, but you'll do it kindly and with understanding.

Reviewing Performance ~You'll give feedback to your team regularly, celebrating their successes and helping them improve.

Taking Ownership~You'll be passionate about theirr team's success, making sure they have what they need to do well.

Experience & Skills:

Tech Skills ~You've got experience as a Senior/Lead developer, writing great commercial code and setting a high standard.

Empowerment ~You're good at making your team feel confident and capable, giving them the freedom to be creative and successful.

Adaptable ~You enjoy working in a fast-paced, flexible environment where things can change quickly.

Knowledge of SaaS Products ~You've worked with SaaS products before, understanding how they evolve and keeping up with customer needs.

Good Communication ~You're great at talking to people, building relationships and making sure everyone understands each other.
