​Are you a seasoned Cloud Engineer ready to take on a pivotal leadership role in a large-scale enterprise environment? We're looking for a Cloud Engineering Technical Lead to drive the implementation of cloud-first strategies and modern engineering practices.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Technical Leadership:
    Provide guidance to cloud engineering teams, driving adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Cloud Strategy & Delivery:
    Lead the deployment and optimisation of a robust Azure cloud environment. Migrate legacy infrastructure and drive the transition to scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud services.

  • Team Collaboration:
    Run daily stand-ups, support sprint planning, and manage deployments. Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to deliver business-aligned technical outcomes.

  • Operational Excellence:
    Ensure high standards for system operations, performance, and governance. Champion automation, DevSecOps, and modern infrastructure as code.

  • Coaching & Mentoring:
    Support the development of technical capability within the team. Encourage innovation and new ways of working across cloud environments.

What you’ll bring:
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Senior Cloud Engineering or Technical Lead role.

  • Strong proficiency in Azure and a deep understanding of cloud-first principles.

  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience in cloud security and DevSecOps practices.

  • Communication and collaboration skills with a strong delivery focus.

  • Ability to lead by influence and foster a culture of innovation and high performance.

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Eligibility: Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
