Engineering Manager

​About this role:

Lead the Engineering Team, oversee people management and continuously improve the Engineering practice. You will work with teams across the organisation to ensure their team, product, platform, and ways of working are as good as they can be to support their customers & users.

Your responsibilities & experience:

• Having experience in incident management, People management, Engineering practices, Performance reviews

• Background in development is essential!

• Managing and leading engineers across all disciplines using industry best practices, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

• Creates an environment in which engineers can deliver consistent, high quality products by leading a culture of accountability and responsibility

• Providing coaching and mentoring to the team, as well as creating personal and professional development plans as a means of attracting and retaining top talent

• Working in the Product space within SaaS companies would be ideal.

• Building out the engineering team, bringing in new engineers with new skills and capabilities, aligning with companies culture.

Bonus but not essential:

• Having hands on experience with Ruby, or other backend languages like C# .NET

• Building/Scaling engineering teams within a fast moving start-up
