We’re looking for an experienced UI/UX Lead with a strong front-end development background to lead, mentor, and support our Frontend & UI/UX team. This role is developer-led rather than design-led and suits someone who enjoys hands-on work alongside people leadership.  
 
 
You’ll work closely with the CTO to review and evolve our tools and technologies, contribute to the technology roadmap, and ensure our front-end capability continues to scale with the business.
This is a leadership role for someone who values practical delivery, clear thinking, and collaboration over over-polished presentations.

The role In this position, you will:

  • Lead and mentor the Frontend & UI/UX team, supporting professional development
  • Collaborate with the CTO on tooling, frameworks, and technology improvements
  • Contribute to scoping, estimating, and delivering front-end projects
  • Troubleshoot issues and support delivery when required
  • Ensure UI/UX work aligns with business goals and technical strategy
  • Lead the UI/UX Community of Practice, facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions and showcases across technology teams
What we’re looking for You’re a natural leader who is comfortable getting hands-on and guiding others.

Ideally, you will have:
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Kanban, Scrum, Lean)
  • A strong track record in front-end delivery with an appreciation for good design
  • Excellent people skills and proven leadership capability
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage priorities and time effectively
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset
Required experience & skills
  • 2+ years’ proven people leadership experience
  • Confidence mentoring others in UI/UX techniques and practices
  • Experience building and consuming modern RESTful APIs
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • A growth mindset and willingness to keep learning
  • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks – React
