About the role:

You’ll work as part of the team that is responsible for resolving all security change requests, security incidents, being key contributors to security projects, as well as assisting other members of the wider security team to consistently deliver industry-leading security outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent client service. 

  • Assisting with security ticket queues to ensure excellent client experience and meet SLA’s. 

  • Ensure all tickets you are responsible for are up to date and meet SLA’s. 

  • Communicate with clients and manage expectations. 

  • Contribute to security projects along with assisting other team members when required. 

  • Collaborate with 3rd parties and vendors (Carriers, ISP’s, hardware providers) to ensure we deliver in a timely manner. 

  • Assist other team members and technical teams when required on tickets. 

  • Monitor and maintain security infrastructure management systems and tools where required. 

  • Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of security infrastructure warranty, licensing and software. 

  • Provide assistance with security incident response when required. 

  • Being available as part of the team's after-hours on-call roster. 

About you:

You’ll be passionate about security and ready to constantly rethink and redefine solutions and outcomes for clients. 

You will have a Fortinet NSE4 certification or above.


We’ll look for the following:

  • A functional understanding of cyber security including:

    • Security concepts and fundamentals.

    • Risk.

    • Security awareness. 

    • Firewall, IPS, IDS, logging and auditing.

    • Networking.

    • Remote access (VPNs, IPSEC VPNs, SSL VPNs)

    • IP Subnetting, Network/Security Management Systems, SNMP (e.g. SolarWinds, PRTG, etc).

  • Working knowledge of networking (routing, switching, etc.) 

  • Working knowledge of the configuration, management and troubleshooting in: 

And experience in the following would perk our ears: 

  • FortiNet (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient, FortiMail, FortiAuthenticator) o Crowdstrike.

    • Trend (AV, Deep Security and Hosted Email Security).

    • KnowBe4. 

  • Mimecast.

  • Qradar.

  • Palo Alto (Panorama, NGFW, Prisma Access).

  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

  • Password State.

  • Secret Server.

  • Active Directory / Azure Active directory. 

  • An understanding of cyber security incident response and network security monitoring. 

  • Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS and security incident event management (SIEM) technologies.
