About the company
We’re working with a Kiwi fast-growing tech company in the financial space. They’re experiencing strong growth, and they’re looking for a talented AWS DevOps Engineer to join their team.

About the role
This role sits within the core platform squad that’s responsible for the infrastructure, performance, and security of the entire product. You’ll be working across AWS, databases, monitoring, and automation, keeping the platform running smoothly and ensuring it can handle ongoing growth. It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety, and you’ll have real ownership over how things are built and maintained.

About You
You’ll bring experience working with AWS cloud and you will have a good understanding of how to build systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable. You enjoy digging into performance issues, and making things run smooth! Most importantly, you’re someone who likes working collaboratively and values clean, well-considered engineering.

You’ll ideally have:
  • At least three years experience working with AWS cloud
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience managing servers, databases, and production environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud-native environments
  • Skills in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling
What’s in it for you?
You’ll be joining a company that genuinely values its engineers and gives them room to make an impact. Expect plenty of autonomy, modern tooling, and a team that enjoys solving problems together. You’ll also have:
  • Supportive work environment with a strong team culture (weekly lunches, Friday drinks, regular events, etc)
  •  Competitive salary and ongoing performance-based remuneration reviews
  • The chance to shape and scale a platform used by thousands across New Zealand
  • Professional development support, including training and conferences
  • Paid parental and wellbeing leave + Employee Assistance Programme
