About the role:

You’ll be providing development and support on multiple projects, developing and supporting large and small complex “Client Server Application” modules.

You’ll also

  • Create and assist management with formulating quotes, proposals as well as making sure resource and skills are available to meet deadlines. 

  • Maximise the existing functionality of the Software Applications by having an in-depth knowledge of the Customer's business requirements so as to recommend future enhancements and change requests in order enhance the Application, as well as solving business problems

  • Work closely with the Technical/Business Managers to make sure the product/component developments meet business requirements. 

  • Be a point of technical escalation for a customer(s) application(s) or area of technology(s), and mentor and support the development team members

You’ll be an excellent communicator, ready to get your ideas across to colleagues and clients. You’ll also be quietly confident in your abilities and happy to own your mistakes.

You’ll have:

  • An understanding and compliance of ITIL project management practise. 

  • Five years’ software development experience. 

  •  An understanding of software development and deployment lifecycle. 

  • The ability to work on several projects simultaneously in a professional team environment with developers, project managers and infrastructure personnel

  • The ability to learn new and varied software applications. 

  • A good standard of documentation. 

  • A willingness to mentor Peers, with the experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers. 

And it’s a bonus if you have:

  • Public cloud experience – Azure

  • Integration experience

  • Experience with legacy code – Visual Basic
