About the team

The Core Replacement Team sits within the wider Technology and Transformation team and is responsible for the implementation of a new core banking platform for the bank.
  
The keys aspects of this will be:
  • configuration of the banking products on the Core Platform.
  • integration of our existing systems to the new platform and augmenting these systems where required.
  • migration of our existing customers’ accounts from our legacy platform.
The replacement of the core banking platform is a foundational component to the successful transformation of the bank and will be run as a multi-year programme iteratively moving products and accounts into the new Core.
  

Purpose of the position

The role of the Workstream Lead is to enable the successful delivery of the designated work-stream and ensure there is co-ordination across all work-streams to achieve the inter-related milestones for the project. This includes guiding and managing a specific work-stream within the wider Core Replacement project by leading the co-ordination of tasks, resources and the management of stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the project
  

General Qualifications and experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Delivery Lead/Product Owner or Stream Lead, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Technical experience in a data role – preferably architecture
  • Technical experience with core banking systems and their integrations with other systems.
  • Strong experience in data and reporting – preferably as a data practitioner (analyst or engineer) or business analyst
  • Experience working with end users to define reporting requirements and data elements
  • Desirable to have experience in data shipping, data modelling and data testing
  • Experience in Data warehousing – Snowflake and SQL server would be a bonus
  • Project Management: Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and managing resources are crucial
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the core systems being replaced, integrations and services required, and the technologies involved
  • Knowledge of a range of technical / planning tooling e.g. Jira, Confluence, Share Point.
