Senior Backend Engineer

They’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Senior Software Engineer to help build tools and backend systems from the ground up. If you're someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves jumping into new challenges, and isn’t afraid to wear a few different hats, this one’s for you.

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Building backend services from scratch >> design, develop, test, and deploy.

• Owning projects end-to-end, from idea to production.

• Working across a range of engineering tasks to meet product requirements.

• Spending about 80% of your time on tools actual engineering work, not just meetings.

• Taking part in an on-call rotation (shared across the team). Yes, you get remunerated for this =)

• Collaborating with a high-calibre, senior team that loves solving hard problems.

💡 Tech you'll be using:

• Python (core backend) 🐍

• TypeScript (for those full-stack touches)

• AWS (heavily cloud-native, scalable architecture)

🎯 What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years' experience in software engineering, ideally backend-focused.

• Someone senior and hungry, you're still excited to roll up your sleeves and ship code.

• You're comfortable in a scrappy, startup-style environment, where there’s lots of ambiguity and not always a defined job description.

• You're a strong communicator who loves working in a tight-knit, collaborative team.

• You value clean code, sound architecture, and a culture of continuous improvement.
